Why it's important to put a disclaimer in art descEDIT: HI Please don't reply to the original comment unless you have serious inquiries. And if you do be mindful to be polite! U v U But this is specific to their case (though if it happens once it has to happen more than once) so I find value in warning others. DA does take the images down when reported most of the time without the disclaimer but it really can't hurt and it gives them less excuses to not carry through with your report. Thank you!Wow, so up till today I always found the "Please don't trace, redistribute, copy etc" was unnecessary in a lot of comments since people are going to do what they're going to do no matter what right? But wow lo and behold I found this comment in the disqus section of Artist Confessions. Basically what it's saying is due to DA's rules if the artist doesn't say to not trace then they cannot penalize reported tracers. At least that's what I'm drawing from
